Overview

The Slide Show tab in Microsoft PowerPoint contains various features and options that are used when presenting your PowerPoint slides. Here’s an overview of the key features you’ll find on the Slide Show tab:

  1. Start Slide Show:

This group contains options to start your presentation from the beginning or from the current slide. It also includes options to start the presentation in different views, such as Presenter View or Browsed by an Individual (for kiosk-style presentations).

  2. Set Up Slide Show:

This group allows you to configure how your presentation is displayed during a slide show. You can choose options such as whether to start the show from the current slide, use Presenter View, or loop continuously.

  3. Monitors:

This group contains options for configuring multiple displays or monitors for your presentation, useful for situations where you have dual monitors or a projector.

  4. Slide Show Options:

Here, you can specify additional options for your slide show, such as whether to show the presentation with animations and slide transitions, or to show narrations and ink.

  5. Custom Slide Show:

This group allows you to create and manage custom slide shows, which are subsets of your presentation that you can use for specific purposes. For example, you can create a custom slide show for a shorter presentation.

  6. Rehearse Timings:

This feature helps you practice your presentation with timing. It records the time you spend on each slide and can be useful for ensuring that your presentation fits within a time limit.

  7. Record Slide Show:

This option allows you to record your presentation, including your voice narration and slide transitions. You can choose to record from the current slide or from the beginning of the presentation.

  8. Show/Hide Slide Show Toolbar:

This option toggles the visibility of the Slide Show toolbar, which provides controls for navigating through the presentation during a slide show.

  9. Slide Transition:

While not directly on the Slide Show tab, you can access slide transition options here, which determine how each slide advances during the presentation.

  10. Animation Painter:
